Actor headshots that look like you on the day.
Theatrical and commercial in one sitting, shot on location anywhere across Los Angeles and Ventura counties. $475, twelve retouched images, back within three business days.
Two looks, one sitting
Most actors need a commercial look that reads warm and approachable, and a theatrical one with more weight behind the eyes. Shooting them on separate days means two sets that do not quite match, because the light moved, the haircut grew out, or the energy was different.
One session solves that. We shoot both, with the same lighting and the same grooming, and you walk away with a set that holds together. A session runs about an hour and a half once wardrobe is sorted.
The images come back sized for Actors Access, Backstage, IMDb, and agent submissions, so you are not cropping anything yourself at eleven at night before a deadline.
What casting is looking at
Eyes in focus, a real expression rather than a held one, and a face that matches the person who walks into the room. That last part is why the retouching stays light. Nothing gets reshaped and nothing gets aged down.
Josh shoots tethered where the setup allows, so you can see what is working as it happens instead of hoping. If a look is not landing, we change it there and then rather than discovering it a week later in the gallery.
If this is your first set, that is completely normal and most of the session is just getting you comfortable. Being photogenic is not a prerequisite. That is the photographer's problem, not yours.

Actor headshot questions
The things actors ask before booking.
An actor session is $475. That covers both a theatrical and a commercial look in one sitting, shot on location wherever suits you, and twelve hand-retouched images. There is no studio rental on top and no travel charge inside Los Angeles or Ventura counties.
Yes, and that is the point of booking one sitting rather than two. You bring a couple of wardrobe changes, we shoot the warmer commercial look and the stronger theatrical one back to back, and the light and grooming stay consistent across both. Agents and casting get a set that clearly belongs to the same person.
Solid colours in tones that are not too close to your skin, necklines you feel good in, and three or four options so we can react to the light. Skip loud patterns and big logos, since they pull the eye away from your face. Bring more than you think you need. Sorting wardrobe on the spot takes two minutes and is usually worth it.
Retouched images come back within three business days. If you have a casting deadline or a profile that needs updating before a submission window closes, say so when you book and it gets planned around rather than squeezed in afterwards.
Wherever works for you across Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Josh brings lights and a backdrop, so a home, an apartment courtyard, a rooftop, or a park with decent shade all work. Griffith Park, the streets around Los Feliz and Silver Lake, and the shaded stretches of the Valley are regular choices for outdoor looks.
That is the whole job. Casting is comparing the photo to the person who walks in, so the retouching clears up temporary things like a blemish or a stray hair and leaves the rest alone. Nothing that changes your face or your age, because being unrecognisable in the room is the one outcome a headshot cannot survive.
